This incredible tree house design created by Bertil Harstrom mimics the iconic alien spaceship design. With an interior that is modern, spacious and comfortable enough to be a home, it even comes with a functioning toilet! The split-level interior is accented with classic round porthole windows that shine just enough light inside and out of the house to create that infamous UFO look and feel. This UFO tree house was actually created for the famous Treehotel in Sweden.

Stunning Swedish Treehotel

An interesting concept for a camouflagedhotel on a tree by Swedish architects Tham & Videgård HanssonArkitekter. The concept is to create a shelter up in the trees, a lightweight aluminum structure hung around a tree trunk, boxes clad in mirrored glass, 4x4x4 meters. The exterior reflects the surroundings and the sky, creating a camouflaged refuge. The interior is all made of plywood and the windows give a 360 degree view. The functions provides a living for two people, a double bed, a small kitchen and bathroom, a living room and roof terrace. The access to the cabin is by a rope ladder or a rope bridge. To prevent birds fly into the windows, transparent stickers, visible for birds, will be added to the facades.

To those who have been in deep love with air travel, the Airplane Hotel at the Teuge Airport in Netherlands seems quite attractive. The luxury hotel is transformed from a Cold War-era East German Airplane but features something new and modern. A vintage four-engine plane that's been converted into a luxurious five-star hotel, it boasts a whirlpool, sauna, bar, kitchen, flat-screen televisions, wireless Internet - and it doesn't even leave the ground.

The Burj Al Arab, considered one of the world’s best hotels is located on its own island about 1,000 feet offshore from Dubai. Burj al-Arab has the most luxurious interior imaginable as well. Khuan Chew, Design Principal of KCA International was responsible for the interior design. The most expensive materials were used throughout the building. There is no exact data about the cost of the hotel, but rumors say that the return of investment could be 100 years, although the nights at Burj al-Arab start at $1000. The Royal Suite costs $28000 per night.

What's the difference between a cruise and a floating hotel? For one you're not going anywhere because you're already at your destination. The Salt and Sill opened 10 years ago and established itself as the best place to get Herring, not to mention the coolest restaurant location ever. Recently they've opened a floating hotel alongside the restaurant where guests will be lulled to sleep by the gentle sway of the sea just after spending some time in the only nautical sauna the world has to offer. They sure know how to relax in Sweden.
