This piece of furniture can be used as a mirror and ganged on the wall when folded, and it can also be used as a neat folding table especially when your dining space is limited. Don't know how many of you would have the time to fold and unfold this “mirror table” but I thought that is a really cool idea.

This surprising switch Table Chair is made by Ellesco International and was designed by the Belgian Designer Ellen Ectors as her graduation work from Sint Lukas Brussels. What is switch – above all it’s a new concept. It’s a chair turning into a table, it’s a table turning into a chair, it’s both in the same time. Combining two of the simplest geometrical shapes – a cube and a sphere, switch is handmade from a wooden structure of massif oak and leather, the ball is filled with polyether foam. Every swiTCh has a unique number on the back. This is a beautiful design by Ellen Ectors, playful and colorful, made with care and love for design. I see these swiTCh-es suitable for grown ups and kids alike, so I’d say it’s a great design, both aesthetic and practical.

If you were a production designer outfitting a movie-set office, using a ping pong surface as a conference table would serve as visual shorthand for a hip, irreverent workplace. Ryan Vanderbilt, the Creative Lead at Google Creative Lab, has taken that one step further with Table&Tennis, a ping-pong-spec conference/dining table that easily transitions from one to the other, and is constructed with materials a damn sight nicer than green slate and foldaway legs.
